Fit St Gym is an adaptive re-use project in Kansas City’s Westside North Neighborhood, transforming a 7,000 SF residence with a 2,300 SF mezzanine into a dynamic fitness destination. The owner relocated from Denver with a vision for a high-intensity, community-driven fitness model, requiring a space as impactful as the program itself.

The design program includes a training area, reception, smoothie bar, lounge, locker rooms, and offices. New street-level entries and a bold shipping-container “portal” activate the façade, while custom perforated steel panels guide the interior experience and connect both levels. Through inventive reuse, materiality, and precise detailing, the project embodies the owner’s vision of a distinctive, engaging fitness community.
